Argentinean Alfredo Moreno became the best foreign player of the 3rd week in Mexican Apertura, having scored three goals for his San Luis against Cruz Azul. Moreno was raised in Boca Juniors, but virtually hasn't played in Argentina. Between 2001 and 2006 he was considered a pillar of Mexican Necaxa. A week ago another Argentinean - Federico "Pocho" Insua - was voted too as the best foreign player of the 2nd week after he took part in five of six goals that his America scored against Jaguares Chiapas.

One of the most stylish Argentinean coaches, Luis Cesar Menotti will be coaching Mexican Tecos from Universidad Autunoma de Guadalajara. Famous Argentinean was world champion with Argentina in 1978, then coached Boca Juniors, Rosario Central, Atletico Madrid and Mexican National Team among others.

Mexico: Apertura, 2007, 1st Week

Apertura 2007 started in Mexico too now.

The most bright ahve been Argentineas Damian Alvarez and Daniel Ludueña, who lead their Pachuca and Santos Laguna to wins, as well as Colombian Hugo Rodallega, who shined in Necaxa's triump. Another Argentinean Daniel Rios scored in the forst match of his new club. Of all 20 goals of the week, 14 were scored by foreign players.

Transfers: Christian Gimenez

Argentinean Christian Gimenez, who was shining several years ago in Champions League for Swiss Basel, and who scored 12 goals last season for German Gertha, is moving to Mexican Toluca for 2 million dollars. Now Mexican league has both Christians Gimenezes: the one who joined Toluca, and his full namesake and compatriot who brought Pachuca to golden medals last season.

Transfers: Nery Castillo

Uruguayan Mexican Nery Castillo has finally signed a 20-million-euros contract with Ukrainian Shakhtar, and hopes that the matches of his new team will be shown in Mexico.

Transfers: Aaron Galindo

German Eintracht presented its new player - Mexican defenseman Aaron Galindo. Raised in Cruz Azul, the 25-years old has played in Europe for Spanish Hercules and Swiss Grasshopppers. He will be the third Mexican to play in Bundesliga after Ricardo Osorio and Pavel Pardo.

Toluca Has Beaten Reggina

Mexican Toluca has beaten 2:0 Italian Reggina at the Trophy Cup hold in Chicago. Both goales were scored by Uruguayan Vicente Sanchez. Another two teams to take part in the tournament are Spanish Sevilla and Polish Wisla.

Necaxa Won Copa Aguacalientes

Mexican Necaxa has won a friendly tournament Copa Aguacalientes, having defeated Universidad Autunoma de Guadalajara in final 4:0. Colombian forward Hugo Rodallega scored twice.

Cuauhtemoc Blanco Debuted in MLS

Mexican Cuauhtemoc Blanco played his first official match for Chicago Fire. His club destroyed Toronto 3:0. Blanco assisted to hondureño Ivan Guerrero.
